Got land? Before you spend too much time browsing floor plan possibilities, you need to know where that home will be built. Not all floor plan designs are suited for all building sites. For instance, a walk-out basement typically requires a home being built on a slope or recessed into a hillside. Additionally, some plans are designed to take advantage of the home’s location relative to sunlight so even if you already own your land, you will want to know where and how your home will be positioned on your property. Once you have an idea of where those logs will be stacked it’s time to figure out what that stack needs to look like.
You’ll need the tile, of course. Your choice of design is entirely your own, but consider how the design will fit in with the rest of the room. Consider, also, the room’s function. Kitchen floors are always exposed to food and water drips. Dark ceramic tile flooring would tend to make seeing these drips more difficult when you’re mopping the floors. Light, solid colors are most appropriate for kitchen floors, while darker tile with simple patterns go best in bathrooms. Shop around at local hardware and home improvement stores or on the net. If you don’t find what you want at your local stores, you’re sure to find it on the net. You can get ceramic tiles from any country on the net. You’re sure to find the design you have in mind there.
One of the best decorator tools that also provides the advantage of protecting hardwood floors and different flooring surfaces are the carpet area rugs. With different styles and designs available, you are sure to love it in your homes or offices. At variable sizes available, it can always conveniently fit any floor surface. Depending on your budget, you can own one at either cheap or expensive price. The difference is mainly on the quality of the materials it is made of. But basically, the unique designs and style may be similarly beautiful. Most materials used for these rugs are made from bamboo, grasses, nylon and wools. You need to place these decorative carpets at places where it is less vulnerable from wear and tear. Placing them under the doors, sink, dining room, kitchen and stairways may not be a good idea as they are more prone to the wear and tear factor. Consider the area where you want to place them and measure the size of the floor. This will help you find the ideal size for the carpet to buy when going to stores to shop for rugs so as to get a better surface fitting.
It might seem obvious that a floor plan is needed to evaluate a space since Feng Shui deals with how people are affected by the architecture. And yet, many Feng Shui practitioners try to wing it and advise clients without a drawn floor plan to refer to. Firstly, we need to have a to-scale floor plan sketch in order to accurately divide up the areas into directional zones. We have mathematical rules about how to divide up the spaces. Since we use elements strategically in classical Feng Shui, it should be unthinkable to risk placing an element in the wrong area. And yet, some schools rely heavily on \"intention\" and cultural placebos to modify spaces. I would agree that if this were a practitioner’s only source of recommendations, that the precise placement of them may not be their concern. But in classical Xuan Kong Flying Star School, we are attempting to change the magnetic field of certain areas, so the boundaries of each area have to be recognized. As an example, if you intend to place water in the east sector of a house, you need to make sure it is not actually in the Northeast or the Southeast. In the same way that an acupuncturist does not place needles randomly anywhere on the body, we have to know the correct locations for placing such elements as water, wood, fire, earth or metal.
Ceramic tiles are extremely resistant to water and sudden extreme changes in temperature. They are durable and long lasting - and this is why ceramic tile flooring has been used in kitchens and bathrooms with great success. They are attractive - if you choose the right kind of tiles - and can be found in themes and colors to suit your home. However, ceramic tiles do not make a smooth one-piece flooring that your child’s play scooter wheels can roll across safely - or a non-slippery surface that your toddler can learn to take his or her first steps on. Neither are they extremely cost-effective when it comes to flooring your entire house with them. However, if you live in areas where your house might be open to rain - or moisture - then ceramic tiles would be a good idea because they are far better at resisting moisture and temperature changes than any other kind of flooring.
